Research for the automatic generating of application signature

Derived inspiration from automatic signature generating of worms, I had researched how to make the signature of application automatically, and how to classify those network traffic. I developed offline method for signature generating of applications and classified the KAIST network traffic using it.

KAIST network monitoring system deployment

KAIST has a gigabit network to outside.I tapped the gigabit ethernet line and deployed gigemon box (a kind of endace's DAGMONs ). I deployed the monitoring tools of that line with gigemon and set up the archiving system which collecting the network traffic of KAIST for network research.
