      Took over the ETBE Development and Sales Manager role in 2007.Ethanol purchasing was added to the job in November 2009 (used to be full time Supply Manager)HPIB sales were added late 2012 (used to be 50% of Business Manager role). Responsibilities:- Bio-ETBE sales in Europe (bulk: 1,000 - 15,000 MT lots), LYB is no. 1 producer in EU- HPIB sales in Europe (bulk in trucks, RTC's and barges), LYB is no. 1 producer in EU- Ethanol purchasing in Europe (bulk: 1,000 - 4,000 MT lots), one of the larger buyers in EU- Development of long term strategies and medium term tactics- Negotiating term contracts- Spot transactions (two spot traders as direct reports)- Working as Business Manager for isobutylene (HPIB) with European Sales Team- Back-office staff were not direct reports but I did feel responsible for these team-members Bio-ETBE is a high octane and low RVP gasoline biofuel component, easy to blend for refiners and gasoline blenders. ETBE is a biofuel with similar air improving qualities as the fossil fuel based alternative MTBE. Ethanol is a strategic feedstock used for ETBE production.HPIB is a chemical used to produce (Halo) Butyl Rubber, PIB, anti-oxidants, lubricants, flagrance and other applications. Next to the primary commercial responsibilities, I enjoyed developing and coaching the traders and other people I worked with. Closing the deals is important but I also believe in a strong back-office to ensure professional execution of our commercial commitments. I find it important to do the interviews when new talent has to be hired. I promoted the following group goals and values: deals have to be fair to both sides, agreements and contracts have to be clear, and professional execution is key.
