As a software engineer at Cerner, I work on one of the largest medical solutions in the world. I am a developer on HealtheIntent's Population Health initiative which predicts what will happen within a population, and can leverage this information to engage the person and their care team to improve health care. • I use big data tools like Hadoop, Hue, MapReduce, Hive, and Oozie to create distributed processing Java pipelines that run on petabytes of data. • I work on ruby APIs as well as ruby and java api clients to feed processed data to consumers. • I am currently working on low latency pipelines to stream normalized data straight to the consumer.
