It has been lovely to work with Trisha over the past few months on the Curriculum Consultant project within the University of Leicester. As a Curriculum Consultant, Trisha has been a champion within her academic department for an inclusive education that is more inclusive and reflective of our current students. From the very start of the role, Trisha came across so clearly and is very driven in her work. It is genuinely inspiring to see the way she approaches her work and studies - she takes the work very seriously without taking herself too seriously, which is refreshing. Trisha has shown great organisational skills, open communication and a strong focus on research. She delivered a presentation on her project research and outcomes at an event with over 30 colleagues at mixed levels of seniority with confidence, clarity and personality/humour. A few colleagues after the event commented on how impressed they were by both the research and presentation. Trisha approaches project barriers with an ease that makes team mates wonder what the problem ever was; her determination is infectious and I'm excited to see where she will go from here.

I met Trisha about 8 or 9 years ago when she came to my Latin Fitness Camp classes. She also joined my Drop a Dress Size program. She had no car, no computer and had 2 kids under knee height. She was by far THE most determined, disciplined and organized woman on the program. She also lost the most weight. She managed to print out every menu, do every task, attend every class, and eat exactly as I recommended with small tweaks to suit her lifestyle. She created new recipes for herself based on the principles and overall was a massive inspiration. Not only to me, cementing in me the reassurance that my program worked, but also to the other ladies. She was still only young herself but had the self confidence and directness of someone far senior to her. Trisha knows where she is going, and how she is getting there....without a doubt. We've kept in touch online over the years and I've watched her Adventurer Red journey and now also her youth work journey with great admiration. She has also crossed paths with my adult son in her youth work and I have watched from a distance with admiration. I have seen many young mothers struggle with child rearing and sometimes on the journey some things get left by the wayside. Make no mistake, her kids come first. She is an advocate for positive child and youth development and I have no doubt that any young person that comes into contact with her will benefit from her skills and caring. Aside from all this she is a down to earth really lovely person. On a side note, last year she organised a marketing webinar for me for my retreat work. It was fun, enlightening and highly professional. If your path has the chance to cross with Trishas then I highly recommend you take it.

Working in collaberation with the University of Leicester and School of psycology and another consultant, I researched perception of fairness in marking. This consisted off researching the litracy designing the study, creating questionarres, recruitment of participants, and advertisment material, data analysis via thematic analysing and JASP, and writing the report. I also co-led a focus group and transcribed data and created a questionaaire for another research project regarding student engagement. This position has required the use of communication including both verbal and written. I took active methods to ensure the project would succeed. This role as also required time sturcturing and leadership skills such as delegation in areas so both projects would be a success. This was a EDI based project. Show less
