I worked with Sylvie for several years as part of a ~30-person, traveling, band and performance troupe called The Mutayor. Sylvie always shone to me as an incredibly creative, inventive, hard-working, dedicated, warm, multi-talented, and generous person. She dreamed up her own characters and brought them to life, and they became crowd favorites. She had incredible passion for the group's mission and cared deeply about all its members. There was no Mutaytor without Sylvie. She embodied the soul of the show. I've also watched Sylvie create and lead other side projects, art installations, and theme camps for the annual Burning Man festival. She created the MOOP squad which was dedicated to cleanup of the grounds, and even invented a tool to make this task easier. I've always been so impressed by Sylvie. And yet, with all this brilliance and stage presence, she has always remained so humble.
