Staffed as a voluntary Football Coach as part of the managers coaching staff for Shawclough U9s (who the following season became U10s). - Assisting the Manager and the rest of the coaching staff of the U9/10s team with training sessions (ground inspections, equipment handling, setting up, assisting with deliverance of sessions, player evaluations. These were roles delegated by the manager to the staff and by the end of the season a member of coaching staff would have completed all of the above listed tasks). - Plan and deliver coaching sessions with the Manager and coaching staff observing and assisting you when required. - Attend fortnightly club committee/board meetings to discuss the present and future planning of the club and how we intend to move the club forward. - Compete in a local league for players to gain valuable match practice/experience and also to develop the players' footballing abilities. - Liaise with parents regarding any changes to training schedules, match day schedules and/or any injury concerns. - To attend any "FA" recommended courses the club see fit that coaches must attend in order fulfill their duties to the best of their ability i.e. Level 2 Football Coaching badge, Level 1 Goalkeeper Coaching badge, Safeguarding Children courses and Health and Safety in Sport courses. Predominantly working on my own initiative as an outreach worker in a fully functioning gym promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Assisting in various exercise groups catering for all ages from toddlers, youths, over 60s and also individuals with physical and mental infirmities. All interventions were designed to promote healthy living and emphasize that sports fitness is for everyone. Planning, devising gym exercise and nutritional plans, evaluating performance and also giving feedback to gym users was pivotal to this role. Performing health and safety risk assessments, providing excellent customer service and assisting members of the public with any queries or concerns.
