The FIELD/WORK Residency is an 11-week program designed for artists from all disciplines wanting deeper engagement, feedback, and support in designing pathways to further inform their creative practices. Through a series of workshops, readings, exercises, and individualized support, the curriculum seeks to enable artist residents to: • Build a supportive community among peers + practitioners in the field• Devote time for reflection about their practice + explore what forms of goal-setting and planning are the most generative • Receive direct feedback on their work + practice plans from cohort colleagues, program facilitators, and guest practitioners • Gain experience drafting applications + proposals with personal responses + insights provided by guest administrators of local opportunities • Access educational resources + reading materials, and develop strategies for working through and with moments of uncertainty +other creative blocks• Combine skill identification with consideration for intrinsic motivators to address and cultivate autonomy

In Summer 2019, FYA will launch its first self-roaming residency that will facilitate opportunities for cross-cultural exchange that encourage experimental modes of curatorial practice.
