Sydney Smith Hutcherson is a member of the Hamoui Family Sage Center for Innovative Curriculum team. The Sage Center houses signature programs carefully designed by our team to help students develop core competencies they need to become courageous and compassionate participants of local and global communities. The Sage Center empowers students to be agents of change in diversity, equity and inclusion work. Sydney's primary role as a part of the Sage Center is to operate the Speaker Series program designed to empowers students to become agents of change by developing connections with multidisciplinary storytellers and professionals that inspire future endeavors. These Speaker Series events are open and encouraged to be attended by the entire Sage Hill community. In addition to her role, Sydney is also the facilitator of the Black Student Union affinity group at Sage Hill. Show less

Sydney Smith joined Sage Hill in 2019 as a dance instructor. In 2018, she worked as a professional choreographer for Sage Hill’s Synergy dance ensemble. Prior to that, she worked as a choreographer for multiple dance studios and high school dance teams. She has experience teaching various styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical and more.
