When the agency has a new family come into their affiliation wanting to foster and/or adopt children from the system, I interview them with a set of in-depth questions to find out if they're an appropriate and fit family for a child in need. I organize a time and date for the interview, stay connected with the families beforehand through verbal and written communication, and conduct the interviews, which can last anywhere from two to four and a half hours. All interviews are recorded, and then, I go through a writing portal and transcribe the interview from the recording, submitting it to the agency in a timely manner. My writing is then submitted to the courts and CPS for validation and approval before a child is placed in that family's care. Show less

    • Director of E-Commerce
      • Jan 2022 - Aug 2022

While serving as Director of E-Commerce, I was tasked with managing the chapter's social medias including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. This position really ignited my passion for creative expression, especially in the realm of social media and marketing. I had to create a brand and established look for our chapter and regularly keep the community engaged, especially in advertising for sorority recruitment season during the summer. This position also kept me allied and aligned with the different Panhellenic chapters in campus as well as other Greek organizations. I worked under our VP Communications and reported information about the other organizations and their events on campus for our members to get involved. Show less

Nominated by my peers and the members of our chapter, I was in charge of my chapter's philanthropy including creating pandemic-safe fundraising and outreach opportunities as well as organizing events that brought in donations for our philanthropy, Service for Sight. I was also in charge of educating the chapter on visual impairments and the programs in the Delta Gamma network that help families and individuals impacted by blindness and visual impairments. This allowed me to have a good rapport with people of the Denton community as well as improve my social and event planning skills. Show less

    • President
      • Apr 2021 - May 2022

As President of my college dance team, I acted in the university's liaison to the organization. This meant that I was constantly in contact about rules, deadlines, and covid-19 policies (among many other matters) during my term. But mainly, I was in charge of establishing our team for Homecoming week, planning events, and hosting/organizing our annual Spring Showcase, which included intense event planning and venue coordination, working with tech administrations to organize light and sound processes, and making sure legal paperwork and fees were completed. Following the Texas ice storm that displaced me from my college housing, I returned home and worked as a host/greeter in the restaurant my mother and I love so much. This required me to take keen interests in guests' needs, multitasking, food and alcohol handling, and customer service. I eventually left the job to return to college the next term, but the team was wonderful and I highly recommend working there (or dining there).
