During my time as a student, I have performed tasks alongside the multidisciplinary team. These tasks include: Medication administration, assessments (head to toe, postpartum, newborn, vitals, systems, mental health), newborn baths, patient self-care/hygiene care, safe lifts, IV management, charting, wound care, catheter removal, catheter insertion, infection control, public health policies… I have improved my communication skills, time-management skills, multitasking skills... During my employment at Tim Horton’s I learnt how to work in a fast pace environment, handling money, time-management skills, delegating tasks… It has also taught me several costumer service skills such as de-escalating agitated customers, learning the names and orders for regular costumers and more! I have also been a team leader: aiding in training new trainees, managing the floor when in charge... Completing daily cleaning tasks.
