  I relocated to the Charlotte area in 2018 and worked for a high school in CMS. During my time at this location I taught Earth and Environmental Science. Following the NC Standard Course of study I provided my students with lessons that were both engaging and applicable to their own lives. I was an active member in my Earth Science Learning Community helping to create lessons that focused on visible thinking strategies to improve students problem solving and critical thinking skills.   From 2013-2017 I taught high school science. This position included the following courses: Advanced Placement Environmental Science, Earth and Environmental Science, and Physical Science. During my time at this high school I was a member of the Environmental Science Learning Community as well as coach for the Debate team which focused on Model United Nations.From 2017-2018 I taught 7th grade science. This course focused on meteorology, climate science, anatomy and physiology, simple physics, and microbiology. My 7th grade team and I worked together weekly to ensure we were providing students with the best education possible.During my time at both schools it was my job to curate engaging science lessons that followed the NC Standard Course of Study.
