On November 14, 2013 Mr. Swor was elected President of the Board of Directors of ACCESS.ACCESS has been serving the community for more than 42 years. Started by a group of volunteers in 1971 out of a storefront in Dearborn’s impoverished south end, ACCESS was created to assist the Arab immigrant population adapt to life in the United States.ACCESS is now the largest Arab American human services nonprofit in the United States. With eight locations and more than 100 programs serving metro Detroit, It provides employment, health, and immigration assistance without regard to race, gender or ethnicity.
