I head up the Clozapine Department at Ashtons Hospital Pharmacy Services and ensure that over 900 patients across 120 hospitals are supplied with clozapine in a timely manner whilst operating within the strict guidelines of the monitoring services. To achieve this I work alongside the Named Patient Team and the Dispensary Team. I have created relationships with ward leads, physical health leads and also private patients within my post as the Clozapine Coordinator at Ashtons. I have helped with the creation, testing, implementation and training of the new Clozapine Patient Database as well as assisting with the implementation of Monitored Dosage System (MDS) Database whilst liaising with an external companies engineers. I also assist the Named Patient Team when they are busy as well as taking stock calls.

      • Nov 2014 - Mar 2016

Within my post as an ATO at the Princess Royal Hospital, I have helped with the creation of the Dispensary Delivery Service (DDS) which deals with the timely and safe delivery of medication from the pharmacy to the wards within the Hospital, whilst liaising with the pharmacists and other dispensary staff. I also head up customer service for Ward Services and have created relationships with ward leads through the DDS and the email stock ordering system, which I am the lead on. I also helped test and finalise the use of portable computers to help create a new picking system within the Pharmacy Ward Services department to help move away from a paper-based stock top-up system to a more central, electronic top-up system. I have helped set up the new, emailed based, ad-hoc ordering system for wards.

      • May 2008 - Nov 2014

While working as a Dispensing Assistant I have learned, gained and improved upon many important skills essential for any work place. In particular I have greatly improved my attention to detail, a key attribute in my current position, working with customers making use of my excellent customer services skills and telephone manner. I have become accustomed to working in a high pressure environment working to strict deadlines and contributing to team, individual and company goals. I have also been able to continuously improve upon my skills and knowledge, in both the work place and also specifically within the pharmaceutical area. I am comfortable working in a team and as an individual, in both my own work and in supporting the pharmacist. I am comfortable dealing with customers, Doctors surgeries and wholesalers, and maintain professional behaviour within the guidelines laid out in the Medicines, Ethics and Practice.

    • Customer Service Assistant
      • May 2006 - May 2008

This position allowed me to make use and develop upon my good communication skills, and build upon my customer service skills. While at Sainsbury's I was working with money when working on the tills, and also responsible for maintaining stock levels while working towards both company and individual goals in a timely manner.
