• Its all started during COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, we developed "Portable Ventilator cum Respirator" as there were shortage of Ventilators. However, due to the updated guidelines, Government was started only authorizing and accrediting Mechanical Ventilators for better results. Then, we focused on automation in the medical field. We came up with an idea of developing a robot which can provide helping hand to nursing staff during this pandemic. We developed "DOOT - a revolutionary nursing robot" for the safety of caregivers. This robot can perform all the day to day tasks of nursing staff like interacting with patients, conveying their messages with doctors, serving meals to patients, etc. This robot is installed & currently being used in Government Medical College & Hospital, Miraj, Dist.- Sangli, Maharashtra. It was the very first successful induction of a robot in positive covid wards of hospital. It got huge response from everyone including District Collector of Sangli - Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari, Dean of GMCH - Dr. Sudhir Nanandkar. All the doctors and nursing staff also appreciated our work in this field. Even media covered our story. As a result, we have received a great response from other districts as well.
