Alfaone is involved in the design, manufacturing, and sales of Home automation systems with more than 1000 homes(~16000 Switches) automated using its platform. Led a team of 6 to 9 for Product and Business Development.Business Development:• Generated about $50K in software sales revenue and saved around $40K in developing an experience center by convincing established mid-size manufacturing companies to collaborate.•Converted more than 200 homeowners into business with a team of 3 through direct and referral sales.•Convinced the suppliers of home automation systems to real estate builders and architects to switch to Alfaone, which helped generate revenues upwards of $100K.•Conducted online pro bono seminars during covid19 to elucidate the working and system design of home automation, leading to a clientele of 11 real estate developers and electrical contractors.Product Management:•Eliminated the processor cost of $80 per home and saved $9 Per switchboard (30% of the material cost) by convincing the tech team to introduce new wireless communication technology.•Managed a team of 4 for the in-house development of a touch panel, reducing the product cost by 30%. •Found innovative ways of sourcing and developing touch switch glasses helping us introduce some unique colors (instead of conventional black and white) cost-effectively even in low volumes.•Conceptualized the modular hardware design and analyzed hardware footprints to maximize the customizability in optimum form factor.• Analyzed use cases to estimate the number and type of switches needed for high-volume real estate developers for affordability, leading to the development of an all-in-one Touch Panel.
