• Started up new Compliance function for the group from scratch, shaping the team and forming processes to monitor and control aspects of financial compliance across the group, as detailed below.• Manage a team of 3 direct reports.• Prepare statutory accounts for c.40 UK entities in the group under UK GAAP.• Managed old UK GAAP-FRS101 conversion process for those statutory accounts for 2015 year-end and currently producing those accounts under FRS101.• Audit preparation and liaison for all stages of prep of statutory accounts.• VAT return reviews and sign offs for all UK entities in the group – implemented process for this which was not in place before.• Manage Group Structure Simplification project – identifying entities to be struck off, and process for clearing them down ready for strike off.
