Assistant Information Commissioner (External Review)
-
Aug 2017 - Present
As an Assistant Information Commissioner (External Review) with the Queensland Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC), I have had a significant role in developing OIC's approaches to alternative dispute resolution within the external review jurisdiction, including establishing and leading OIC’s intake and resolution team and designing and developing the organisation’s knowledge management processes and resources. My role involves strategic management of a high-volume case load and coaching and supervising a team of Review Officers in legal analysis, effective communication, and negotiating interest-based outcomes. As a delegated decision-maker I ensure review processes are fair and formal decisions are evidence-based and legally robust. I also provide advice to the Right to Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner on matters relevant to OIC’s external review functions. Show less
