  • Developed new protocols to achieve significant increases in both quantity and quality of DNA extracted. Did extensive online searches of literature for possible changes, also researched everything I ever worked on to gain the fullest possible understanding of the subject matter. • Extracted and purified DNA from nearly 8,000 samples of leaf tissue. Performed electrophoresis, PCR, restriction digests and subsequent ligations. Tested for quality and quantity using nanodrop and Tecan Spectrafluor.
