Working within the funding and data department, I have been promoted to Apprenticeship Data Officer. I work on the Apprenticeship contract within Gateshead College, ensuring all paperwork meets funding requirements and that apprentice paperwork is completed in a timely manner. My role is to input all relevant apprentice information onto our MIS system (Pro-Solution) in a timely manner to secure maximum financial return for the college. Preparing all apprentice paperwork for funding audits, in which we have had no financial claw back to date. Leading training sessions with college departments to ensure the completion of apprenticeship paperwork is kept to a high standard. I add all apprentices to our training providers digital account (DAS) and work through the miss-match reports to ensure all apprentices are drawing down funding. In addition, I help the business development team advise employers on how to use their digital accounts. I am part of a team who meet on a regular basis to discuss current processes and how they can be improved. I help out on monthly ILR deadlines, making sure any apprenticeship errors are cleared before the deadline. Show less

Working for a prime contract holder, I work on 2 different funding streams both funded through the Skills Funding Agency, which are 16-18 and 19+ Apprenticeships and also Advanced Learner Loans. I was originally employed as the Funded Data Administrator and my main responsibility was to cleanse all ILR data after the previous employee retired, the company was losing a lot of funding on a monthly basis due to incorrect data in the PICS MI System. I was promoted to Data and Compliance Supervisor in August 2016 managing 1 16-18 Apprentice and also 1 part time Data Administrator. I am responsible for the compliance of all leaner paperwork to ensure that it meets SFA funding rules requirements. I ensure all of our learners are registered within the correct time frames with our awarding organisations and certificates are claimed in a timely fashion. I have experience in using City and Guilds walled garden, VTCT Portal and also the ABBE portal. I complete the monthly ILR return to the Hub to ensure accurate data is submitted each month without any errors and I also work out the financial payments due to be paid out to our Subcontractors.I was involved in revamping the company’s paperwork and processes as everything was a little out dated and I attended a lot of training sessions on how to use our PICS MI System to its advantage. Following on from that training I have created all of the company reports to be able to analysis our contract performance and assessor performance. Show less
