Sales/Writer of Irish History
-
Apr 2013 - Present
I am currently semi-retired and trying my hand at my dream of writing a book and also giving Avon a trial-run!! I would like to write about my great-great grandparents who came over to America from Ireland in the late 1800's running from the feared appearance of another "Potato Famine". The horrendous "Irish Potato Famine" that occurred from 1945-1950 was extremely devastating and in 1979 another famine reared it's ugly head, but was not as wide-spread and deadly as the prior one. Many people left out of fear of seeing what their parents experienced during the first one in 1945. Presently, I am doing research about the conditions in Ireland and finding out more information about my GG grandparents. My book will be a fictionalized historical saga taken from many of the facts that I find out about my family. Show less
