Doug T.
As Executive Editor-Science at Learning A-Z, I recruited Suzanne Klein to serve as a contract editor to produce content for Science A-Z, a Web-based resource used by 70,000 teachers and over 1 million students across K-6. Suzanne proved to be the perfect fit for our needs! She brought a strong background in both writing and science, and these skills enabled her to capably edit a wide range of resources. Truly, she was the most flexible person I worked with over my 14 years with the company, consistently showing a willingness and ability to shift gears on a moment's notice—a true utility player. Suzanne's editing included science books, passages, quizzes, vocabulary resources, and hands-on labs. She also wrote original content for us, including video discussion questions, teaching tips, lesson plans, and more. Whenever we needed to produce a new set of correlations to science standards to support Sales, including NGSS, we turned to Suzanne, and she would deliver. In 2019-2020, Suzanne helped us develop interactive assessments for the first time, with a focus on three-dimensional learning. She did all of this as a remote contractor for a number of years, prompting us to hire her as a remote employee. Beyond all of her productive and high-quality results, Suzanne is a delightful person to work with, with a warm heart and cheerful personality. Whoever hires her in her next opportunity will be glad they did.
