Driven by questions about displacement and refuge, history and experience, Friends, Peace, & Sanctuary explores art’s capacity to build empathy and create a deeper sense of belonging. This project will result in exhibitions in 2019. My role on the project was to oversee exhibitions and the creation of the project catalog. I also worked closely with the Project Manager to plan and execute all workshops and public programs and supported commissioned artists and community members as they made new project-related works.
