Buglife is the only organisation in Europe devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates. We are actively working to encourage the general public and our partners to value Britain’s rarest and most diverse creatures, everything from bees to beetles and jumping spiders to jellyfish. Invertebrates come in wonderfully different shapes and colours - with more than 40,000 invertebrate species in the UK alone. Buglife’s vision is a wildlife-rich planet where species, including invertebrates, thrive alongside people.Manage a diverse range of conservation projects to a high standard to ensure that targets are met and project reports are completed and submitted on time. Projects managed have involved green roofs, wildflower meadow enhancement and creation, species focused projects and work on brownfield sites. Manage staff, trainees and volunteers to support them in their project delivery and development. Fundraising and development of several highly successful projects including Fife’s Buzzing, Glorious Green Roofs and John Muir Pollinator Way. Involved in outreach delivering talks, workshops and walks to a wide range of communities of all ages and backgrounds to raise awareness of the importance of invertebrates and their habitats. Manage the Scotland office, enquiries to Buglife including media and ensuring project webpages are up to date.
