I have worked alongside Suzana since October, 2009, as Operations Manager at World Film Collective. In that time, Suzana has taken our charity in a completely new direction, from sustaining on the contributions of private donors to securing public grants and securing sponsorship with notable telecommunications companies. By securing this funding, Suzana enabled World Film Collective to deliver 10 filmmaking workshops, involving over 100 young people in Brazil, South Africa, Palestine, Russia, and the UK. In order to secure this sponsorship, Suzana provided phenomenal support, guidance, and coaching to the people under her management. In cooperation with our Fundraising Assistant and our in-country representatives, Suzana secured corporate sponsorship from major mobile industry and public bodies. I can attribute her success in these endeavors to her ability to inspire her team to work together and perform to the best of her abilities by making them feel valued and providing her full support. Furthermore, her compelling proposals established relationships that are invaluable to securing World Film Collective’s continued presence in our participating countries. I have been most impressed by Suzana’s versatility in engaging with people from all backgrounds and levels. She has engaged representatives from Telecommunications leaders and government officials, with her brilliant proposals, and encouraged and assisted our filmmaking students on the ground in East London, helping them to interview a police officer about the Stop and Search policy. She has demonstrated an enthusiasm for the arts and education matched by few, and has fulfilled her responsibilities with the utmost professionalism.
