See the summary, review and table of contents http://www.multilingual-matters.com/display.asp?k=9781847698872 More information about Inari (Aanaar) Saami language revitalisation and our Complimentary Adult Saami Language Education CASLE project here www.casle.fi My little documentary film "Reborn" tells a story about Aanaar Saami language revitalisation. It is the first documentary made in Aanaar Saami. I directed the film (about my mother-in-law who started to speak her mother tongue after a couple of decades and my children who learnt their father's and grandmother's language at the language nest) when I was studying Aanaar Saami language in 2009-2010. Jun 2005 - Nov 2009
I was working as a nothern correspondent and broadcaster for the Radio Lapland, Finland's Public National Broadcasting Company, YLE. The editorial stuff and the editing office was based in Rovaniemi but my office was at the Saami Radio, YLE Sápmi in Inari. I edited news and reportages for radio, Internet and teletex. My stories typically covered and concentrated on Saami issues but I reported widely on politics, economics, nature, social issues and more general human interest stories - not only in the Northernmost Finland but also in the whole Barents region and High North.
