I studied the genetic and hormonal regulation of stem cell differentiation during root secondary growth. My work included molecular biology and genetics related experimental design and optimization, data analysis and interpretation. I enjoyed presenting my work and ideas to the academic community by giving talks and presenting posters.

    • Postdoctoral Researcher
      • Dec 2011 - Dec 2015

I worked on genetic regulation of flower and inflorescence development, authored five academic research papers, and gained a broader perspective on the topic by writing a review article (for full list of publications, see http://tuhat.halvi.helsinki.fi/portal/en/person/ broholm). My research project in the group of Prof. Miltos Tsiantis focused on comparative developmental genetics. I worked on genetic networks that regulate leaf growth and development. I authored two research papers, and gained valuable international experience, contacts and communication skills. I received a personal grant from the Academy of Finland for my work.
