I worked with Susy for about four years. In my experience, Susy is a highly passionate and exceptional leader with many skills that make her a versatile and well rounded senior level operational manager. She is a highly responsible person, and that is at the heart of her passion for her job. When I worked with Susy, she clearly understood the big picture goals of her clients and the hotel. She was able to see and plan for the long term, execute the short term all while balancing the needs of her clients, her employees and the hotel. She is skilled at budgeting and forecasting, and completed a major capital project of purchasing new equipment for the banquet department over a two year period. She could manage the schedules, payroll and expenses of multiple areas within her department, teach and mentor others, and be the main contact for multiple clients on property, all with a positive attitude. She was never afraid of hard work but always eager to figure out ways to work more effectively and efficiently. Susy was attentive to every detail and held those who worked with her accountable to performing at that level. She is always on top of her game and displays a service level that is nonpareil. That is coming from a Hospitality professional who knows great skill when it is on display. The other key is that Susy is very responsive. If there is a question or a request, she is on it from the get-go. Additionally, she is a terrific mentor to my daughter who has worked for Fairmont almost as long as Susy has. I would work with her anytime and anywhere when possible.
