  Susie focuses her legal practice on surety bond litigation, claims handling and recovery. She represents a number of sureties, providing services such as evaluating and defending bond claims and lawsuits involving performance, payment, subdivision, commercial, court, probate, license and miscellaneous bonds. Susie has extensive litigation experience in state and federal courts, inclusive of success at trial involving various bond claims. She is a speaker on fair claims settlement practices and surety claims handling and has authored publications on contract and commercial surety bond matters, including underwriting issues, mitigating potential losses and maximizing recovery by a surety. Prior to joining the firm, Susie worked as in-house counsel for a surety insurance company, where she gained significant experience and valuable insight regarding the investigation and handling of contract, commercial and miscellaneous bond claims.
