At Texas A&M Transportation Institute, I am responsible for the overall direction and management of a work program, which includes the day-to-day supervision, planning, administration, evaluation, and implementation of the program’s research functions. These duties include project management, supervision, data collection, data analysis, and work coordination. I manage multiple projects as a principal investigator through managing time, budgets, and progress of work to meet sponsor expectations. Serve as the primary contact with sponsors for complex projects that involve multi-disciplinary teams representing different divisions and programs. Plan, schedule, coordinate, and report detailed phases of research and development projects. Develop and maintain relationships with traditional and non-traditional sponsors. Manage, develop, and mentor staff, including professional and career development needs, Provide local and state leadership as well as national leadership (e.g. TRB conference committees). Equivalent to faculty (Professor/Associate Professor).

Provide leadership internal to TTI (mentor other employees and help develop leaders of the future), provide local and state leadership as well as national leadership (e.g. TRB conference committees). Research spans the traditional areas of transportation planning, operations, and operational planning, freight analysis, safety planning, data analysis, human factors and border studies. Expected to develop and research the effectiveness of innovative solutions to emerging transportation issues and studies in any of these focus areas. Equivalent to mid-level faculty (Associate Professor).
