      Daejeon, South Korea I am currently working on generating SCON (Short Conditional intrON) knock-in within the SOX2 gene of zebrafish using CRISPR-Cas9. This novel genetic construct behaves like an intron in its uninduced state but can prematurely terminate translation, specifically upon cre-based induction. Hence allowing us to generate scarless conditional knockout alleles in vivo. This approach could be very useful in studying developmentally important gene functions in the adult stage.

Our findings demonstrated that the induction of TGF-Beta indeed resulted in EMT, characterized by cellular changes. We observed no significant alterations in the overall RNA methylation levels. Parkin RNAi males showed a 50% decline in climbing ability. Tau flies exhibited a gradual reduction in climbing ability, but the trend was not statistically significant. I also worked on a CRISPR strategy to create drosophila mutant model.
