In my role as event and Kick-Start Program coordinator I help to plan, conduct and develop different events for internationals in the region. By offering informative, insightful and interactive lectures and workshops we help the international community to understand and navigate Swedish society and culture. The particular focus of the Kick-Start program is designed to help international spouses and partners to enter the Swedish job market. Furthermore I built up an Ambassador network to matchmake and connect newly arrived internationals to the region with already established internationals. Show less

EOS is the largest basketball club in southern Sweden, with a program named Eos Cares for integration and social responsibility. Eos Cares offers a wide variety of weekly and daily activities, aiming to facilitate social meeting points, language training, intercultural exchange and sports. My primary role was to organize two weekly language cafés to enable the learning and practicing of Swedish for foreigners. One of them (Kulturbro) I have founded myself in cooperation with the city library of Lund. Both language cefés were very popular with 20-35 regular visitors, including 5-7 Swedish volunteers. I also initiated a very popular and successfull series of learning seminars about entering the Sweish job market. My second role included to set up and develop collaborations with external stake holders, e.g. companies, public institutions, NGOs and student organizations, for cooperation and funding opportunities. The Kick-Start-Program aims to enhance the opportunity for accompanying spouses or partners to get a job in Sweden. In cooperation with Arbetsförmedlingen and the municipalities of Lund and Malmö the program offers information about the Swedish jobmarket, CV-writing, preparing for an interview in Sweden, founding of an own company, workshops for networking, pitching etc. My role encloses support in the organization and realization of the program as well as its further development.
