Susannah is a warm and upbeat person who has a quiet confidence about her. The first time I met Susannah was when I observed her teaching an academic reading class for students from several different countries. Her warmth, smile and competence made for an inclusive, inviting and productive environment. Susannah’s people skills and ability to work independently makes her an asset for any organization in the business of serving people.

Susannah has great ideas, is open minded and an extremely positive force in Pillar Nonprofit Organization. Her positive attitude is a motivator for everyone else around her. She is very attentive and a great active listener, and remembers the little things about you that make the most difference. Her creativity is only matched by her sense of priority and professionalism, and I would put her smile at the helm of any organization.

I develop and implement the business and marketing plan for the learning and development program. This includes leading the strategic direction and planning of the entire program as well as develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote events. I plan and coordinate more than 70 events per year including workshops, networking opportunities, information sessions and member events. This involves the coordination, set up and logistics of events as well as post-event follow-up duties including tracking and reconciling accounts. In this role I lead the impact measurement of the learning and development program. Another main responsibility is to create and distribute email communications, including creating weekly emails and social media. I have strong relationship building and management with regards supporting speakers, partnership opportunities and sponsors.

In this role I worked with a business consultant to research and help build the business plan to sustain the role. I helped with market analysis, surveys and focus groups to determine the scope of the program. From this research I implemented the business and marketing plan in order to create a dynamic and well know learning and development program. I designed key programs and worked with knowledge experts to deliver workshops and sessions in order to build a stronger nonprofit sector.
