We hated to see Susanna go after her year as an intern at Erie. She did an amazing job and is very knowledgeable and professional. Her ability to build relationships with kids and offer advice and support to teachers made her a huge asset throughout the school year. She made an impact in the lives of each and every student and teacher she worked with. We'll miss her dearly next year!

Ms. Ramos demonstrates positive role and kind compassionate towards working with her clients. She is often a hard-worker and positive mentor. She was working at Association House of Chicago for longer than anyone I have met. She decided to pursue her graduate degree and concentrate on her studies instead. Susanna a great team member and a wonderful friend!

Partnering with Parents offers free support services to families with children 0-6 years through one on one personal home visits. Parent educators encourage & support parents in ways that foster positive relationships and attachment with their children. As a parent educator I provided educational resources relating to prenatal care, child development, health & nutrition while coaching parents in safe sleep practices, breastfeeding, discipline & other parenting topics. I tracked children's developmental milestones referring to early intervention as needed. I also connected families to community resources depending on their unique needs. I assessed maternal health using the Edinburgh Perinatal Depression Scale and screened for Intimate Partner Violence, providing interventions when necessary. Additionally, I co-led two 12 week parent workshops and became certified as Chicago Parent program group leader in 2021. Show less
