The Legendary Sugar Shack Nightclub was a staple in the downtown Boston area in the 1970's. My father as Italian as they come Rudy Guarino Sr. was the owner and gathered top of the line talent from the likes of James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Patty LeBelle, Al Green, George Clinton, The 4 Tops, The Ojays, The Parliaments, Gladys Knight etc... The list goes on, the greatest collection of soul artists started at "The Sugar Shack." We are forming an entertainment group to bring you reunion concerts, festivals, a Broadway show, a book of my fathers life story how he got in the game of show business, a documentary in the works and we are speaking with movie producers about using the story for a Hollywood blockbuster film. You are witnessing an empire being built of the reputation of a single man who was told it couldn't be done!!!
