  I counseled and was case manager for neglected, abused and delinquent children sent to the agency's service via the court system. I gathered extensive family histories and prepared diagnostic family summaries. Collaboration with parents, staff, psychologists, group home and foster parents, county case workers, and judges were all a major part of the job, in addition to developing and carrying out treatment plans and testimony regarding progress in court. As an adoption worker and supervisor, I educated groups of prospective adoptive parents, conducted adoption studies on families, prepared children for adoption, supervised adoptive placements and prepared paperwork for court adoption finalizations, hired and trained adoption caseworkers and helped to manage and develop adoption services at the agency.
