Referral Letter July 11, 2012 To Whom It May Concern: This is written as a recommendation for Ms. Susan Plumer, an adjunct instructor here at the Florida Institute of Technology for almost three years. I had the pleasure of being her department head during that time, and always found her to be upbeat and very professional in how she taught her classes and advised students. Ms. Plumer’s greatest strength is her willingness to go the extra mile and then some for her students. She organized special field trips for her international students, and set up a mentoring program between them and American students. Both parties increased their language skills and cultural awareness as a result. Susan is the sort of teacher, and person, who when she sees a need for her students strives to fill it. In conclusion I recommend Susan Plumer without reservation. Any school who employs her will quickly discover what a treasure she is in the classroom and out. Please feel free to contact me if there is any further information that you may need. Sincerely, Robert A. Taylor, Ph.D. Head, Humanities and Communication Department Professor of History (321) 674-7384 Show less
