  My role at the library encompasses many different avenues. I provide in house IT to all computers at Tolono Public Library used by staff and the public. This includes updating systems and managing different software programs. I also am responsible for web design and maintenance of the library website, as well as all social media activity. I am responsible for developing circulation for increasingly popular eResource platforms as well an many online databases offered by the Tolono Public Library. Included in my day to day activities is the role of event or programming coordinator. All library events are created, organized, advertised and orchestrated by me. My marketing and community outreach skills allow me to be a voice to the community that is advocating the importance of life long learning and realizing the library as a dynamic resource in one's community. I really enjoy the creativity that this role requires. In doing this I am able to become more educated about resources in our community and in Champaign County, while networking with professionals from a variety disciplines. Each day is different in my role and I feel this keeps me challenged and continuously evolving. Show less
