It is an honor and pleasure to serve as a reference for Ms. Susan Jameson. I have gotten to know Susan quite well as she has served as my assistant at St. Ambrose University for approximately the past four years. While Susan came to the position with a solid and well-developed set of skills, I have seen her continue to develop professionally over the years, not only honing existing skills but developing new ones. I have been fortunate to have her as an important part of my leadership team at the university given that she has the qualifications to excel in other positions as well. Susan’s organizational and leadership skills are clearly in the top 5% of anyone I have worked with in higher education. Of particular importance is her ability to take routine and labor intensive tasks and identify more effective and efficient means of completing them. Susan has well-developed communication skills that allow people to be clear about what the expectations are of them, what the timelines for completion are, and provide support that allows them to be fully accountable. Susan is not content to sit back and rest on her current level of knowledge. She pursued and completed a Master of Organizational Leadership degree at St. Ambrose while working in what can be a very hectic environment at times. Despite the demands of the degree program and work, she was able to manage the additional work in a manner that not only did not detract from her job responsibilities, but enhanced her work as she began to incorporate what she was learning in class into her daily operations. The advanced degree adds a credential to complement and supplement many of the natural talents she brings to anything that she pursues. In sum, I cannot recommend Susan highly enough. She will be an asset to whatever organization has the opportunity to hire her.

Susan is by far one of the top notch Administrative Assistants that I have ever met. She is very detailed, engaged, offers insightful perspectives to meetings and is a joy to work with. I have no doubt that she would be an asset to whatever company she seeks out.
