Very appreciative of being elected for my third term as a Renfrew County District School Board Trustee representing the municipalities of Renfrew, Horton and Greater Madawaska. We are looking forward to welcoming 3 new trustees to our Board table and continuing to move forward with important work looking at the input our educators are providing as we look forward at our "rethink @ secondary". Eastern Regional Chair on the Ontario Public School Board Association; Policy Review; Discipline Committee, Program and Student Achievement, Finance and Resources, Equity and Inclusion. Working with the 4 schools in Renfrew: Central Public School, Queen Elizabeth Public School, Renfrew Collegiate Intermediate School and Renfrew Collegiate Institute. Looking forward to using my skills in this role with the education system in Renfrew County!

Some recent changes to committee structures now allows me to be part of a larger piece including human resources, finance and health and safety. These new committees are currently meeting within the public council meetings to ensure that all council and public are aware of the discussion. Pros and cons for this approach particularly around HR when it is often necessary to add another meeting for that type of discussion which is not appropriate in a public forum. This approach will be reviewed and see whether it is working to reduce staff time in meetings and preparation as well as encourage more open discussion! Always good to try some new approaches!

The 4-H program ( the best leadership development program for youth in Canada!) has always been a passion! As a trustee, I am working at increasing the awareness of the opportunities available through the 4-H program as well as encourage investment to ensure the availability of this program to future generations. Happy to announce that the 100th Anniversary Gala Dinner was an amazing event- so many people who are dedicated to the 4-H program in Ontario. We appreciated our keynote speaker Dennis MacGillivray and his work with the 4-H Ambassadors- It was a great celebration!

Currently retired from these positions. My husband Doug and I are long time residents of Horton Township and the Town of Renfrew. I worked for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for over 35 years. Some of my roles included: working with local, regional and provincial 4-H volunteers, members and parents; leadership training and organizational development with various rural groups; managing budgets, staff and offices across the eastern and southwest regions; leading large teams working on complex projects such as reorganization and website restructuring.
