I would input grants onto the Blesma bespoke system in an accurate and timely manner – plus produce clear instructions to the Finance team for payment. Weekly reports were checked and produced. I received weekly audit summary checks from the CE for further information on the grant, prior to all grant monies being released. My other duties included – paying Invoices from 3rd parties for ongoing grants, for instance, once a temporary stairlift has been set up for a member – pay the 3rd party the monthly ongoing fee on behalf of our member. I also arranged Care- lines/Lifelines for our members - once the care-line is installed, they would invoice for payment. I also liaised with members for various reasons, some needing help either with their mental well being or finances, or just someone to talk to – I would listen with empathy but be professional at all times, and if need, would then arrange for their Support Officer to make contact, (each SO covers different parts of UK, N Ireland Scotland and Wales). The role included commissioning reports and ensuring that all reports were submitted on time, including chasing reports from authors, maintaining forward plans and work programmes, recording actions and maintaining action logs. I prepared meeting agendas and despatched them to senior managers across the Council and to partner organisations according to tight deadlines. In addition, I took on ad hoc duties such as organising development away days, co-ordinating meeting and training organisation, as well as updating and creating spreadsheets. I had weekly meetings/catch ups with managers to ensure work flow was running to schedule. Show less
