  As the Technology Coordinator for Jasper City Schools, I lead a team of 3 technology staff. Our team manages all operational and instructional technology resources for the district. As the technology coordinator I blaze a trail for technology in the school district and understand how all the hardware, software, policies, and procedures fit together in the big picture for each school and the entire district to implement technology. I help teachers, support staff, and administrators use technology more effectively and meet the standards and goals laid out in the Jasper City Schools Technology Plan. It is my job to find and accumulate adequate funding and administrative support to make the school and district technology initiatives feasible.

  While working in the Jasper City Schools system I have worked in three different positions. I was responsible for training, modeling, and assisting teachers in integrating technology in the classroom to improve student achievement. Coordinates the management of instructional and non-instructional school microcomputer networks. Acquires and updates skills as necessary for effective network management. Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains hardware and software. Trains users in applications on the network. Coordinates activities of outside vendors, consultants and trainers.
