To say I am impressed with Susan Brink's dedicated work ethnic, organizational skills and overall enthusiasm might be an understatement! Susan worked with myself and our jazzjewels.tv team in helping to direct and organize an awards ceremony in Detroit for the Jazz Journalists Association's coveted Jazz Hero salute 2012. Her professionalism was definitive as was her always warm and engaging manner. The success of our event was greatly due to Susan's take charge without ever micro-managing style. Thus, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her. I would highly endorse any project that she advocates and in which she is associated. Moreover, I look forward to working with her again. Susan Brink is the consummate pro who goes the proverbial extra mile--which is greatly appreciated for more reasons than one!

Howard Mandel

Susan Brink is an ideal person to have on a team that is actually trying to accomplish specific goals and concretize a complex project. She has broad perspective and deep understanding of tasks, she's a self-starter who can foresee what needs to be done and does it well, with little need of guidance. She is calm and thorough, resourceful and imaginative and highly personable. I will work with her every chance I get, and I urge potential employers to take her candidacy for any job very seriously -- indeed, to hire her.

Dennis Connors, who just won the Golden Eagle award for his film "Breaking Boundaries: the Art of Alex Masket", is working on a new film, which I am Producing. This film is about pianist, composer and bandleader Diane Moser's Composers Big Band, a seventeen-piece big band formed for the purpose of developing and presenting new music for large ensembles. Since January 1997, the CBB features the music of its resident composers along with guest composers and performers. The range of the featured artists collaborating with the band has been astonishing: Jim McNeely, Oliver Lake, Howard Johnson, Sy Johnson, Matt Wilson, Jackie Cain and Mark Dresser are but of few of the dozens to share the stage with the group. This breadth reflects the musical attitude of Diane Moser, whom the New York Times called “unfazable booster for improvised music.” This film is,in part, about community - a chance to participate in an amazing cooperative environment, a sonic party, as Jim Cifelli so aptly put it, for musicians to find their collective inner voices.
