I had the pleasure of working with Mr.Susanthan for the past 3 years in the same Land Transport Authority (LTA), Downtown Line (DTL3) project in Singapore. The DTL3 contracts were extremely challenging and required sound technical ability, intellectual horsepower, commitment, hard work and good communications with the client and other stakeholders. The S$188 million Contract 931 for the construction of MacPherson Station and its associated tunnels has been awarded to Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. MacPherson station will link DTL3 to the existing Circle Line. I was the Contractor’s Design Manager from April 2014 until completion of the project and was responsible for the design management and delivery of all design works associated with these contracts. Susanthan was the Construction Manager at Hyundai Engineering for Reinstatement works, temporary & permanent traffic diversion at major traffic junction and roadworks. Also involved in minor & major utility diversion such as optical cables, power cables, PUB water, PUB Sewer, deep drainage lines and the above ground MRT structural works. He has more than 13 yrs of experience in various building and civil engineering major projects. He has excellent leadership qualities and he adds value to the Contractor. Susanthan consistently demonstrated all of these attributes in his day to day Construction tasks and activities. He was a key member of our Construction Team. Susanthan was a deadline-oriented person, independent, customer-focused strategist and a fantastic person to work with.
