This opportunity allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings and gain hands-on experience in my field of interest. 📊 Project Highlights: Delve into the world of WastewaterSurveillance - a powerful tool for tracking viral infections and enhancing public health in urban areas. My recent project in Bangalore, India focused on analyzing wastewater samples from 28 sewage treatment plants (STPs) 📊🔬. We combined cutting-edge methods, plotting estimated infected persons data against the Viral Load (copies/ml) from the TIGS dataset. Calculating the Sum of Cases for each STP, we aligned our results with the TIGS Supplementary dataset. This innovative approach allowed us to assess the accuracy of our predictions, comparing them against the ground truth. 💡 Technological Expertise: Throughout the internship, I leveraged various tools and technologies, including data visualization libraries like matplotlib and seaborn , data manipulation libraries such as pandas, and statistical analysis techniques.
