Having been both a client of Suresh’s and eventually a direct report, I had the opportunity to both work with and learn from Suresh. I found Suresh to be a dedicated team member. His knowledge of FinTech is impressive, including the areas of Sales, Product Development, Implementations, Consulting, Training, Customer Support and SaaS / BPO. Our customer base included Insurance compnies, Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, PE firms & Pension Funds. He is an excellent Program and Relationship manager. During his tenure at SS&C Technologies, Suresh made pivotal and immense contributions, starting as a Manager of Implementations and working up to the role of Senior Vice President. His team building skills were solid, as was his managerial approach. Suresh had a direct impact on the phenomenal growth and revenue of SS&C. Suresh was very respected in our industry, by both the client base and SS&C management and staff. I wish him well in all his future endeavours.

Suresh and I had a working relationship at SS&C that spanned 20 years. I hired him as he was finishing his MBA at UHart. I concluded very soon that he was extremely intelligent and destined to advance in our organization. At the time SS&C was struggling to survive with very few products and services for the investment management industry. Suresh and I did whatever it took to support sales and solve clients’ problems with securities trading, commercial loan management and investment performance measurement accounting and reporting. The clients primarily were the investment arm of insurance companies and one hedge fund at that time and the problem solving also required some technology research. After I had mentored Suresh as much as I could he moved on to more responsibility, recruiting and building teams and working with multiple clients and multiple groups within SS&C. Although we no longer were in the same group there were multiple occasions over the years where we visited clients such as Met Life and Conseco together as peers to solve problems. In fact, our most recent collaboration was during the six months before I retired eight years ago. Together we proposed, sold and delivered a fixed price custom software development project to New England Asset Management. I recall Bill Stone, the SS&C CEO, once saying that he thought Suresh may be the smartest person in the organization. I quickly corrected him saying,
