  As CEO, Suraj Bhakta leads the nation’s premier hospitality team at NewGen Advisory (NGA). Within his direct purview are all brokers and agents nationwide, advisory and transaction services, advisory project management, asset value enhancements and lender asset services business lines that span offices in 12 different states. Mr. Bhakta has also serves as Chief Legal Counsel of the parent company, NewGen Worldwide, overseeing the complexities of various business lines including capital markets, real estate transactions, and addition tech related subsidiaries.With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Bhakta brings a broad range of experience to his leadership roles. Mr. Bhakta previously led investing and acquisition strategies for hospitality clients nationwide as the managing partner of his law firm Bhakta & Associates, PLLC. Having grown up in the hospitality industry and as an owner of hotel assets he has an understanding of the industry that is unmatched. Having dealt with everything from franchisors, lenders, developers, contractors, and investors, Mr. Bhakta’s expertise has no limits.Mr. Bhakta joined NewGen Worldwide in 2014 as Chief Legal Counsel, after serving as outside counsel for the company since 2008. He was selected in 2018 by senior management to head up NGA growth and expansion. Since taking over as CEO of NGA, Mr. Bhakta added 11 new office locations and numerous agents to the NGA team in his short tenure and seeks to continue strategic growth throughout the United States.
