Bio
Leo Lobo
I have known Sunita Nair from March 2001, when she joined the faculty of the Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir as a Science educator in the Senior School. I was the Principal of the school and I am pleased to testify to her competence. A major part of her work was to teach Chemistry to Grades XI and XII. Her knowledge of the subject was outstanding, and she kept herself updated both in Chemistry and her teaching skills. As an Educator, she was committed to her work and devoted to the progress of students under her care. She was always prepared for her classes; her lessons were interactive; concepts were conveyed through experiments, projects, research, discussions, illustrations etc. and therefore students enjoyed her classes. She spent a lot of her time and energy each year, on students who were preparing for their public examination which resulted in excellent performance by them. Her interaction with students and other faculty members was exemplary. She was sensitive and empathetic to the needs of students and very co-operative with and supportive of her colleagues. She was a member any team would be proud to have. Sunita enthusiastically contributed to other areas of the school like supervision of assessments, and training of students in activities. She actively participated in and constructively contributed to faculty discussions, and academic decisions. As the Principal, I could rely on her doing her very best for her students and for the progress of the school. She resigned and left the School in March 2009 when I was still there.
