Working in the publishing industry for 34 years I have had the opportunity to work with many professionals in the print industry. Some bad, some good but very rarely was the experience enriching and valuable. That is till I started to do projects with our commercial printing facility at Noida and interacted with Sunil Pandita, the leader at the unit. Sunil and I crossed paths in the past in our careers but this was the first time we collaborated on many projects that needed complex processes that revolved around processing, printing , fabrication or any other aspects of producing a book. Needless to say Sunil was never found to be wanting in spirit, energy and positivity in resolving the demands made by us. Thrown a challenge, he would always dive into it and come up with a practical solution that always demonstrates his deep understanding of processes revolving around the needs of a project. His strength was his James Bondish swagger when he would never breaking into a sweat and kill the problem with a smile. It was always a pleasure working with Sunil and i would be lying if I did not admit that I was upset to hear his moving to another location. But knowing his urge to keep himself challenged and busy it would be best for us to let him pick bigger and better challenges in his career. I hope we will be able to work on another project soon.
