We are the first company in the world that has been able to produce Nordmann fir trees using this technology and we aim to produce at a large commercial scale using this methode.   I was the instigator and active in the creation of the Arbodania in 2010 and sat on the board for the first three years, as well as assisted with strategies, marketing, and other startup activities.After the first three years the organization did not run satisfactorily. This necessitated a complete overhaul and relaunch of the company and the board decided to employ me as a new CEO.Being a new player in the market, and having the ambition to be the market leader, Arbodania had to rethink the business which we did succeed in.   Under my management Collet has grown to operate the largest integrated Christmas tree production unit in Europe on its 1100 ha of land. With a focus on specialization, quality and logistics we have made the company the leading producer of high-quality Christmas trees in Europe.As a CEO in a small company I have had hands-on management with up to 20 permanent and 200 seasonal employees. I worked with strategi, leadership, general management, economics, production and sales. Throughout my career I have worked with R&D in closely collaboration with Cph University, Forest and Landscape, Flakkebjerg, Danmarks Planteavlsstation, Skovskolen and Dansk Juletræsforening to develop the industry as a whole.Internationally, I have collaborated especially with American extension agents and growers such as Chal Landgren (OSU), Gary Chastagner (WSU), Doug Hundley and Jeff Owen (NCSU).Key Accomplishments➟ Quintupled Christmas tree production so that Collet today is one of Europe’s leading producers, making 500,000 trees annually.
