  The Project for Improving Community Based Water Supply & Sanitation in Post Conflict areas of Jaffna and Kilinochchi is implemented as a part of ADB6th Project of Jaffna - Kilinochchi WSP. The financial assistant is a grant from the ADB through JFPR. The duty of Water Supply & Sanitation Engineer was to furnish required design works, prepare contract documents, assist in technical evaluation and involve in construction supervision, and schemes commissioning and preparing Final Design and Project Completion Reports etc. Also the Water Supply & Sanitation Engineer was the Team Leader for staff panel consisted with consultant and NWSDB appointed staff. Meanwhile I was supervising the arrears works of the PA1 contract of Batticaloa WSP including project closing out works.The PA2 contract comprises construction of 9,000m3/day capacity water Treatment Plant for Muttur WSP including intake at Mahawelli bank at Neelapola and 9.0km, 500HDPE Raw Water main.   Batticaloa WSP was implemented under the ADB 4th Project of NWSDB. The project comprised following contracts,PA1 contract - Construction of 40,000m3/day capacity water Treatment Plant including intake, 18.1km Raw Water main and 7km treated water main of 800DI, 2,500m3 Ground sump at Batticaloa with booster pumping stationPC1 contract - Construction of 7 new towers, 36km transmission main (300DI ~ 400DI)PE1/PE2 contracts - for constructing 270km PVC distribution main.PH1 Contract - Constructing 460m3/day capacity sewerage treatment plant for Batticaloa Teaching hospital & prison.PG1 Contract - Constructing drainage system in UC & PS areas (4.6km long)PD1 Contract - Raising of Unnichchai bund by 5 feetAs an Assistant Resident Engineer I was involved in construction supervision of PH1, PG1, PE1 and PA1 contracts from inception to commissioning and handing over. For PA1 and PE1 contracts separate Resident Engineer's inputs also were available for a certain periods until substantial completion and however other contracts were completely supervised by me.
